Penske Commercial Vehicles (PCV) has finalised an MAN TGX‐D38 fleet deal with GTS Freight Management with 10 trucks to be delivered later in the year.
Based in Mildura, Victoria, GTS Freight Management will be supported by PCV’s newly announced Mildura dealership partner, Marshall Group.
GTS Freight Management trialed an MAN TGX‐D38 after the launch of the flagship model in Australia in October which led to the fleet deal said PCV Managing Director, Kevin Dennis.
“We have a long‐standing relationship with GTS Freight Management so once we launched the D38, we provided a demo model and the feedback was very positive,” said Mr Dennis.
“The D38 offers great cost efficiency and high productivity which are key to the success of our customers.”
Tailored for Australian conditions, the heavy‐duty truck is ideal for long haul transportation with a 15.2L, 560HP, six‐cylinder common rail engine, and unrivalled driver comfort and fuel efficiency.
Managing Director of GTS Freight Management, Damien Matthews, said the MAN TGX‐D38 would perfectly suit their operational requirements transporting wine and beverages nationally.
“Our drivers have been very complimentary of the D38’s ride which, when coupled with the truck’s impressive performance and cost effectiveness, has led to us placing an order to purchase 10 D38s,” said Mr Matthews.
“Safety is also paramount to our operations, so the safety features and driver assistance options offered on the D38 were also critical factors in our decision.
“And with the Penske Commercial Vehicles – Marshall Group partnership in Mildura, we will have local support for our fleet which is important for the long term.”
