The prize includes return economy airfares, island ferry transfers, world class accommodation at Kingfisher Bay Resort and a 4WD coach tour of the spectacular sights of this unspoilt island.
Kingfisher Bay Resort is a fully-integrated ecotourism resort, designed to give guests an enjoyable nature-based experience on Fraser Island, whilst creating minimal impact on the stunning environment.
The competition coincides with the release of MAN’s latest short form video which features MAN’s TGM 4x4.
The TGM 18.290 4x4 is a standard cab chassis fitted with a custom designed coach body. The 6-cylinder in-line engine with Common Rail fuel injection is both turbocharged and intercooled and coupled to MAN’s 12 speed TipMatic gearbox. A 2-speed transfer case with permanent all wheel drive is fitted.
Fraser Explorer Tours operates a number of these vehicles and finds them ideal for transporting tourists across spectacular Fraser Island and in particular navigating the island's many tracks on what is the world’s largest sand island.
Entry to the competition is via a specially built micro site www.man.com.au/fraserisland - entrants simply need to watch the video and then complete the entry form.
The competition will be promoted via MAN’s website and Facebook page and supported with electronic banner ads, print advertisements and point of sale at Dealer level.
This latest video is the sixth in MAN’s ‘day-in-the-life’ series. This series of short form videos has proven extremely popular, with substantial downloads recorded on MAN’s own YouTube channel. One video in particular has already amassed over 42,500 downloads.
“We believe these videos are an excellent way to interact with our customers to demonstrate our trucks' capabilities and show how they are helping customers in their day to day operations. Linking the video to a consumer competition will enable us to reach an even wider audience,” said MAN General Manager - Marketing, Cris Gillespie.
The competition commences early August and concludes on 30th November 2014. It is open to any Australian resident aged 18 years and over.
