Penske Commercial Vehicles, together with local dealer, Penske Power Systems Brisbane, delivered an all-new, limited edition MAN TGX 26.580 PerformanceLine prime mover to TEKNO Autosports earlier this week.

Introduced to the Australian market at the Brisbane Truck Show recently, the PerformanceLine boasts exclusive features such as an energy efficient, advanced light and visibility package, twin pairing of mobile devices, leather Alcantara seats with blue seat belts and seams, and steel blue metallic interior highlights on the dashboard and door trim with distinct PerformanceLine badging.

“The PerformanceLine builds on renowned MAN characteristics such as high power output, low whole-of-life costs, superior fuel economy, maximum safety and efficiency, and a quiet and ergonomic cabin environment, adding exclusivity for customers who want a truly special experience,” said Sergio Carboni, national sales manager – MAN, Penske Commercial Vehicles.

“From various safety features such as ACC, EBS, ABS, ESP and more, to a quiet and comfortable cab, and an efficient Euro 6 engine, the team will surely enjoy the benefits of the PerformanceLine as it transports its race cars around the country.”

This is the third truck to be delivered to the Supercars team by local dealer Penske Power Systems Brisbane, which has a longstanding relationship with TEKNO Autosports founder, Jonathon Webb.

“After trialing a couple of different MANs, the PerformanceLine TGX 26.580 with the XLX cab was the truck the team felt lived up to its high performance standards,” said Derek Schroff, retail sales manager, Penske Power Systems Brisbane.

“The savings in fuel, great driver comfort, and exceptional standard safety package were all features that ticked the boxes in what the team was looking for.

“And with only ten 580hp PerformanceLine trucks entering the country, TEKNO’s unique transporter will certainly turn heads when it enters the Supercars paddock.”

Jonathon Webb said the MAN truck is the ideal fit for the team’s transport needs.

“We at TEKNO are new to MAN trucks so we took our time researching with the assistance of Penske Power Systems Brisbane and have found the ideal fit for our transport needs,” said Jonathon.

“We look forward to touring the country in our MAN PerformanceLine. Keep an eye out for #teamTEKNO en route to Supercars events in your local town.”
